travel north america mexico sinaloa mazatlan molokay
Molokay is a restaurant on Stone Island Beach just across the harbor to the south of Mazatlan's city center.
We visited it as part of a Princess land excursion that was centered around a bird watching cruise through the mangrove swamps of the estuary.
We were told the restaurant was run by the same company, King David, that ran our bird watching tour.
The restaurant consisted of a covered dining area under a palm frond roof or at beach tables under palm frond umbrellas.
It was obviously set up nicely for the tourist trade with few "local" diners.
The place was clean, the service was good, and the food was well prepared.
Lynn enjoyed a quesadilla and I had fresh fried fish... both were very good.
We were also serenaded by a very good mariachi.
Although we reached Molokay in a round about way through the mangrove swamps and several miles up the beach, it can also be reached by ferry from Mazatlan.
Our kids had taken the ferry and we met them on the beach.
